Does the thermostat housing just pull apart from the water inlet pipe?
Is it just an o-ring holding it on?
I'm scared and I dont want to pull to hard, and I'm not sure what I'm doing.

Hi Zombkiller,

After removing the 3 holding bolts, you need to twist and pull the thermostat housing to get it off.

The O ring might stick rather tight and twistng would loosen it to enable you to pull it out.

If you are replacing the thermostat, you need not remove the complete housing. Removing the front 2 holding bolts should get the lower hose inlet housing off to get at the thermostat.
