Car cuts off but after a period of time (sometimes 5min. Other times as long as 2hrs.) It cuts back on. This can happen several times a day. Tyhe fule pump was replaced about 13 months ago and a new coil was put in a week ago but problem persist. I had an 89 honda accord that had the same problem once in got to nearly 200,000 miles.

Hi smileysgirl1,

When the eigine cuts off, does the dash indicator lights shows? If no, then the ignition switch is faulty.

If you have a fuel supply problem, the item that you should check is the PGM-FI main relay. It is known to intermittently fails causing stalling and non starting.
