hello

i have a 03 ra rodeo and there is a noise coming from under the bonet im not sure if it is the motor or gear box it's like a rattle/ sounds like something is loose but it goes away when i put the clutch in hopefully you can help

Hi there,

Sounds like a faulty clutch thrust bearing, get a mechanic to feel the clutch, he should pick up a faulty bearing straight away, if so it is a gear box out job.

The bearing is only about $45. but there will be about 5 hrs labour fitting it.
