Purchased vehicle w/o right ignition key. Starter will not engage w/o programmed key. Programmed key will not "accept" by disabling system. Locksmith says it is something else. (Computer?) Cannot test ecm w/o being in car? Is there a way to start the car circumventing the disabling system to drive it to a repair shop? Entry key will activate dash lights and everything except the starter.

It has to be towed to a dealer, new key and programming has to be done there.
