Electrical problem
1999 GMC Sonoma 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The issue is the gas gauge is not correct. When the float is all the way up, I show a little over a 1/4 of a tank of gas. So when I'm at a half tank, my fuel light lights up and the gauge is near empty.

So I thought it would be the fuel assembly. I replaced the fuel pump assembly twice. I checked the pump, 100 ohms when the float is up. 0 when down. Book says pump is good? Help, please. I guess, if I can't fix this, I don't have to worry about running out of gas.

Check your ground and see if you are gettinga blinking light to the sending unit. If you aren't then you either have a bad connection of the gauge may be bad.
