I just bought a 1988 firebird formula it 66,000 miles on it. The engine is the 305 TBI, it is difficult to start it will crank for ever before starting.I normally have to crank it 3 or 4 times at 3-4 second intervuls befor it will start. Sometimes longer, once it's running it runs good. Last night I stoped to get gas and it would not start at all. I took the air cleaner off, I used a rag and covered the carburator with my hand, and had a friend start the car and it fired up pretty easy.
Do you think the choke might need adjusted if so how do I do that. The probaly needs a tune up it has been sitting for a month or three. Thanx for the help.
