Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1995 Geo Metro 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 93,000 miles
I bought the car and it didn't have any cv axles in it. I then went and bought brand new ones from the local advance auto parts store. Me and my buddies put the new cv axles in and then test drove it. It ran fine for about 15 minutes and then my buddy decided to pop it from neutral to drive then stepped on the gas. We then heard a loud noise and the car wouldnt go into any gear. We pushed it back to the house and found out that the the clamp on the boot busted and the boot fell off the knuckle where the cv axle goes into the transmission. Theres grease everywhere. Is it easier to fix the boot or is it even worth fixing the boot or should I just get a new cv axle?
