1966 CHEVROLET IMPALA
Why would my generator light all of a sudden be on if the car is off and the key is out of the ignition? When the car is running the light is off.

I think this has to do with the voltage regulator sticking on. Can you unplug it to see if the light goes off? Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Will do. The light went out. If it happens again I will try to unplug it.
