The fuel gauge has a empty light on constantly. Even though there is fuel inside the fuel gauge light remains empty. What can I do? The light does not seem to work. Can I do this myself or would I have to take this to the shop?

The sender unit has failed. It will have to be replaced. The fuel tank has to come down to gain access to the unit
