The drivers side view mirror bounces around when driving. It is powered and adjusts just fine, so the rattle seems to be independent of the powered mechanism. The plastic housing is solid and does not rattle, just the mirror inside. I recently bought the car and there is no evidence it was hit or otherwise damaged, though it may have been.
Is it possible to tighten or immobilize the mirror and still maintain the ability to adjust it, or do I have to replace the whole thing?
