first of all, I have used the site before and was very pleased. Thank you

when I used this site before I was told to check the fuses because the heaster was blowing cold air. I changed fuse 9 and the front heater is now blowing hot air but not the rear overhead ones is still blowing cold air. Also I can not turn the rear blower off. The heat control does not work and the overhead adjuster does not work. So it's always blowing cold air on my rear passengers.

second, all the instruments on my dash is lit. Why is this.

TEST Q: TEMPERATURE CONTROLS DO NOT OPERATE USING FRONT/REAR AUXILIARY CONTROLS
Retrieve DTCs

Check for DTCs. See PRELIMINARY INSPECTION. If no DTCs are present, go to next step. If DTCs are present, go to PCM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES table and perform appropriate test.
Check Rear Electronic Module (REM) Output (With Auxiliary System, Operated With Front Controls)

Connect New Generation Star Tester (007-00500). Place front control function selector in OFF position. Place rear blower motor switch in HI position. Enter REM ACTIVE COMMAND MODE. Select BLND DOOR to command auxiliary temperature control door open and closed. Check temperature from panel and floor vents. If temperature varies from cold to warm, go to step 12). If temperature does not vary, go to next step.
NOTE:When using ACTIVE COMMAND MODE on rear temperature door, rear air mode door will also vary position.

Check For Binding Or Stuck Rear Air Mode Door

Remove auxiliary temperature blend door actuator from rear climate control housing. Enter REM ACTIVE COMMAND MODE. Select BLND DOOR to command temperature blend door open and closed. Check airflow from panel and floor vents. If auxiliary temperature blend door operates as commanded, repair binding or sticking blend door. If blend door does not operate as commanded, go to next step.
Check Auxiliary Temperature Blend Door Actuator Clockwise Operation

Disconnect REM 26-pin (C342) harness connector located in right rear quarter panel. Connect a 5-amp fused jumper wire between REM C342 harness connector Tan/Red wire and Pink/Yellow wire terminals. Connect a second 5-amp fused jumper wire between REM C342 harness connector Black/Light Blue wire and Black wire terminals. If auxiliary temperature blend door actuator rotates clockwise, go to next step. If blend door does not rotate clockwise, go to step 6).
Check Auxiliary Temperature Blend Door Actuator Counterclockwise Operation

Connect a 5-amp fused jumper wire between REM C342 harness connector Black wire terminal and REM C342 harness connector Pink/Yellow wire terminal. Connect a second 5-amp fused jumper wire between REM C342 harness connector Black/Light Blue wire and Tan/Red wire terminals. If auxiliary air mode door actuator rotates counterclockwise, go to step 12). If mode door does not rotate counterclockwise, remove jumper wires and go to next step.
Check Pink/Yellow Wire & Black/Light Blue Wire For Short To Power

Using voltmeter, measure voltage between REM C342 harness connector Pink/Yellow wire terminal and ground. Measure voltage between REM C342 harness connector Black/Light Blue wire terminal and ground. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to step 9). If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step.
Check Pink/Yellow Wire & Black/Light Blue Wire For Short To Ground

Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between REM C342 harness connector Pink/Yellow wire terminal and ground. Measure resistance between REM C342 harness connector Black/Light Blue wire terminal and ground. If resistance is more than 10,000 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10,000 ohms, go to step 10).
Check Pink/Light Blue Wire & Tan/Yellow Wire For Open

Disconnect auxiliary temperature blend door actuator harness connector. Measure resistance of Pink/Yellow wire and Black/Light Blue wire between blend door actuator connector and REM C342 harness connector. If resistances are less than 5 ohms, go to step 11). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open circuit. Retest system.
Check Auxiliary Temperature Blend Actuator For Short To Power

Measure voltage between REM C342 harness connector Pink/Yellow wire terminal and ground. Measure voltage between REM C342 harness connector Tan/Yellow wire terminal and ground. If voltages are more than 10 volts, repair shorted circuit(s). If voltages are less than 10 volts, replace rear temperature blend door actuator. Retest system.
Check Auxiliary Temperature Blend Actuator For Short To Ground

Measure resistance between REM C342 harness connector Pink/Yellow wire terminal and ground. Measure resistance between REM C342 harness connector Black/Light Blue wire terminal and ground. If resistances are more than 10,000 ohms, replace rear temperature blend door actuator. If resistances are less than 10,000 ohms, repair shorted circuit(s). Retest system.
Check Auxiliary Air Mode Actuator For Open

Reconnect rear temperature blend door actuator connector. Drive blend door actuator to full panel position as described in step 4). Drive blend door actuator to full floor position as described in step 5). If actuator operates in both directions, replace REM. Retest system. If actuator does not operate in both directions, replace blend door actuator. Retest system.
Check Tan/Light Green Wire For Short To Power

Disconnect REM 20-pin C342 connector. Measure voltage between REM C342 harness connector Tan/Light Green wire terminal and ground. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to step 16). If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step.
Check Resistance Of Temperature Blend Door Actuator Potentiometer

Disconnect REM 22-pin harness connector (C341). Measure resistance between REM C341 harness connector Light Blue wire terminal and C343 connector harness Gray/White wire terminal. If resistance is between 4500 and 6500 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 4500, or more than 6500 ohms, go to step 15).
Check Feedback Potentiometer Resistance

While measuring resistance between REM C342 harness connector Gray/White wire terminal and C342 harness connector Tan/Light Green wire terminal, drive air mode door actuator back and forth as described in steps 4) and 5). If resistance varies between 250 and 6250 ohms, replace REM. Retest system. If resistance does not vary, go to next step.
Check Light Blue Wire, Gray/White Wire & Tan/Light Green Wire For Open

Disconnect rear auxiliary temperature blend door actuator harness connector. Measure resistance of Gray/White wire between blend door actuator connector and REM C343 connector. Measure resistance of Light Blue wire between mode door actuator connector and REM C341 connector. Measure resistance of Tan/Light Green wire between mode door actuator connector and REM C342 connector. If all resistances are less than 5 ohms, replace rear blend door actuator. If any resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair circuit in question. Retest system.
Check Temperature Blend Door Actuator For Short To Power

Measure voltage between REM C342 harness connector Tan/Light Green wire terminal and ground. If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair Tan/Light Green wire. Retest system. If voltage is less than 10 volts, replace blend door actuator. Retest system.
