1993 Ford Thunderbird lx, 106,000 miles. The tail light/running light assembly on the trunk on the drivers side is burnt out. How do I get the lens off to change the bulb? I was able to get the assembly off the car, there are no nuts on the assemble, except those that secure it to the trunk lid. Just the stems that the nuts go on to are on the back side of the lens. This is the large oblong rectangle lens on the trunk with the Thunderbird logo on it. I still do not understand how to open this thing, the bulb is inside it.

You do not take the assembly apart. It should slide out after you remove the nuts holding it in and the bulb should be fastened in the back of it.

Hello,

You must remove the lens and the bulbs are behind it. Here is a guide and a diagram to help you get the job done.
