My 1992 ford taurus blows thick white smoke when a certain "clank, clank" noise happen. I have been told that is antifreeze blowing and somthing wrong with the head gasket. Is this true or can you tell me what is wrong with it? As you see it is a 1992 ford taurus, 76000 mi, and v6 eng. And its automatic

How often do you have to add antifreeze? If so, are there any obvious coolant leaks? Does it overheat? If so, then the most likely culprit is a blown head gasket.
