I bought a 2005 Ford Taurus in May w/ 56,000 miles. In August at 63,000 miles I was driving car turned onto roadway and noticed fuel gauge was no longer working. A day or two later the check engine/Emmisions light endicator was on and has been on ever since. I took car to Advanced Auto Parts to see if they could give me diagnosis code and was given P0462 Fuel Level Sensor A Circuit Low Input. However, I've noticed when I fillup ga tank the fuel hand is right below the red empty line but as it gets close to empty it goes alot further down so it has some movement within it could it be possible something is just loose. It is a pain in my ___ to have to worry about resetting trip when I fillup and guestimating from there. I noticed the fuel gauge not working when the mileage to empty remained on 0 for about 15-20 minutes that day. What can I do I can not afford to run out of gas w/ my 3 daughters as I have twice w/out them. Please help!

Justina
