Transmission problem
2001 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 64000 miles

Hi,

I see is few drops of ATF, dropping over the exhaust pipe, picture below. Its about a quart a month.

From the picture below, it doesn't look like the pan gasket leaking.

What should be leaking from tranny above the exhaust pipe ?

Should this be the Axle seal or the front pump seal ?

Whats above the Exhaust pipe.. Axle seal or Pump seal ?

Hi there.

You should be able to wash the trans down and check for the fresh leak after a drive, it could be the pan gasket as the slip stream can carry oil back as you drive.
