2001 Ford Taurus

Last night my car was running fine, this morning I go to start it and its dead, just a clicking noise, but the lights and radio worked fine, I go back outside to try again after it warms up outside and now nothin works, no lights no radio, still clicking, I got a jump and the car started and turned over after about 10 min, the guy disconnected the cables righ away, and 2 min later my car died again, were the cables not on long enough or is there something else wrong?

Check alternator and battery as described here, you will need a good battery to test charging system, Fords need a charged battery so alternator will not be damaged! At this point I suspect you need to replace both.
