A/c seems to stay on even when you switch to heat, no warm air at all. New thermostat, antifreeze, both hoses going to the core are hot.

Do you mean the you get no heat or is the AC compressor still running and the AC stays on? If that is the case, when you change the temp to heat the inside of the vehicle, you should still get heat. If you are not getting any, have the blend door checked. Chances are it is sticking and causing the problem. It is located near the heater core.
