Engine Cooling problem
1999 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 123 miles
I have 99 Ford Taurus with 123,000 miles, V-6 think it's a 3.8 liter engine and I am having a problem with it overheating. When in drive or park the temperture gauge will begin to rise up to the red line only when the car is not moving and it will only do this after the cooling fans in the engine kicks on, but once you start moving again the temperture goes down. Gave it radiator flus and replaced the gasket this stopped it from overheating for a little while, but after was not being drove alot stated over heating again. Please give me any advise on what could be causing it and how to check and repair the problem, thanks.
