Air Conditioning problem
1997 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 72,000 miles

My AC was blowing warm so I added to cans of 134-A and AC began blowing cold. In a matter of 3 days it had leaked out. I found oil around the bottom of the service valve of the high pressure side where the valve is on top of the stem that runs out of the high pressure line. My question is does this stem screw into the line and if so is there an o-ring on the bottom. I'm looking for a likely spot in this area where it could be leaking. Your help would be very much appreciated. I have tried to look online for a exploded view but could not find.

Hi there,

the first t hing to do is add some leak detector dye, this will show you where any leaks are, do this first.
