1996 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 210k miles
hi thank you for your time my dad is a 20 yr tranny rebuilder now out of the car industry but he bought a 96 ford taurus wagon 3.0 im not sure how many valves but when he bought it, it had 200k + on the body but the motor was replaced I think it has around 60-70k on it. It ran good and then one day he had a hard time starting it and now it runs but very bad it misses and sputters but sometimes it runs fine, he told me once hes on the freeway it runs fine, he has had it hooked up to two code readers and it sounds like some cylinders aren't firing properly, he has changed plugs and wires but no difference. Do you think coil pack or throttle positioning sensor. Or something else thank you for your time.
have the same problem?
