Shifting problem

I have a 93 ford ranger 4liter with a manual transmission. Shifting from 1st to 2nd is sometimes tricky, you neet to play with the stick. The rest of the gears seem fine. Also after the truck has been running for a while it can be very difficult to shift into any gear if the car has been idiling in neutral. The shifter can be strong armed into gear but the easiest way to get it into gear is to turn the truck off and put it into gear. Once the truck gets going the gears can be shifted again. I had the clutch changed less than a year ago. Any ideas?

Hi there,

check clutch adjustment, and for low oil in transmission, also check that the right type of oil is being used,
