Ranger running issues

1988 Ford Ranger 2.6L V-6 loses power and RPM's when at cruising speed (not accelerating). When accelerating the truck is fine. It also does not stay running long when idling. In addition, the computer says the truck is running rich and I have sooty exhaust. I have replaced:
Distributor
Spark Plugs
Throttle Position Sensor

I am unsure of the diagnosis at this point. Should I change the MAP Sensor or the Fuel Injectors or maybe the Fuel Sending Unit? Any help would be appreciated.

Try an O2 sensor to start. If it has a MAF sensor, that will make them rich too
