My brother has a 1997 Ford Ranger with 125,000 miles. He was having shifting problems and took it to be fixed. The garage replaced the clutch, throw out bearing, slave cyl. And resurfaced the Flywheel. I tried to drive it today and found that the clutch pedal releases almost at the floor, it must be totally stopped to shift into first, moving at slow speeds it is almost impossible to get out of first gear. When setting still with the clutch pedal fully depressed it is difficult to shift between gears. What could be causing this problem? He has already spent $700 and the car can't be driven.
