2003 Ranger Fuel Pump

I have a 2003 Ford Ranger Edge w/ a 6 cyl. 3.0 engine. Approx. 105000 mi. I am currently stranded in NC. The repair shop AAA towed me to cannot fix the truck until Tuesday. Meanwhile our son is home in Fl. And my wife and I need to get back for work.

Is the fuel pump located in the tank or can it be easily replaced from under the vehicle without dropping the tank. I can do the repair myself if it is not too difficult.

Most likely it's in the tank, yes you'll need to drain most of the gas and drop the tank.
