2002 Ford Ranger PCV Valve

Where is the PCV valve on my 2002 Ford Ranger with a 2.3L DOHC engine. Im getting a code P0171 and I've checked everything except this.

REMOVAL

Remove the LH front wheel and tire.

Remove the left side inner fender well splash shield.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Remove the pushpin.
3 Remove the bolts.
4 Remove the splash shield.

CAUTION: Remove the electrical connector locators from the splash shield prior to removal.

Disconnect the coolant bypass hose from the routing clip.

Gently pry the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve cap off the two tabs.

Remove the PCV valve from the crankcase vent oil separator and disconnect the vacuum hose.
INSTALLATION

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

P0171 lean condition:

1. Vacuum leaks
2. EGR and PCV valve.
3. Low fuel pressure.
4. Dirty fuel injectors.
5. Mass Air Flow Sensor.
6. Oxygen Sensor.
