I own a '97 Ranger with the 2.3L in-line 4 cylinder engine (8-plug), currently with 230k miles. This has been a great truck. I am very pleased with it; it has never used or leaked any oil and gets 25 mpg. A co-worker owns one too. However, each of us has had the timing belt replaced within the past year, and each of us has developed a significant oil leak immediately afterwards. Trying a 'process of elimination', I have replaced the valve cover gasket, and all three of the front oil seals (crankshaft, camshaft, & oil pump) with no change in the leak rate. Does anybody have an idea where this leak is coming from, and how to eliminate it? Thanks.
