1990 Ford Ranger 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual
I have a 1990 Ford Ranger with 216,000 miles on it. I was recently driving home and my clutch went out. The clutch pedal went all the way to the floor and I lost all clutch pressure. The resevoir is still full of fluid, and it has been leacking fluid a little while now. A mechanic I talked believes that it is the slave cylinder because my clutch was never slipping. How hard is it to replace a slave cylinder in this type of vehichle? Is there only the one way (drop the transmission) to get to the slave cylinder? Should I replace anything else along with the slave cylinder?
