OVER HEATING PROBLEM

I have a 1988 Mustang GT with a 1992 5.0 engine which has been worked. It is over heating and I have replaced the water pump and the thermostat with a low temp stat. I also had the radiator flushed. I don't know what else to do. Would the radiator cap cause it to over heat? I am trying to avoid replacing the radiator. It has no leaks. Runs good. Just over heats.

Yes your cap will couse it to over heat. The seal around the inside of the cap may be dryrotted or worn out.
