Many Fords and Mercury's use security ignition keys with an "s" on the metal part of the key and an RFID chip inside. If you own a second Ford or Mercury and have two keys on your key ring the security system may periodically sense the other key (since they are close together)and not allow the engine to start. I found a hint in the owners manual and have experienced the problem several times myself.
have the same problem?
