I have a 1999 standard Ford Mustang with 149,000km. Recently while passing a car, the gas pedal stuck and the car continued to accelerate. I put my foot on the clutch to take the car out of gear, allowing the brakes to engage to try to stop the car. The car then redlined before I could stop the car and turn the engine off. Once the car cooled down I started it up again and it seemd to be fine. I have taken the car into the dealership to see if they can find out why this happened and they found nothing. Any suggestions, I truly don't want this to happen again?
