Electrical problem
1973 Ford LTD V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Battery runs down while car sits. There is a 12 volt reading between disconnected neg. Cable and neg. Post. Pulling fuses to locate trouble circuit does not indicate any circuit. I've checked every wire I can reach. Could it be in the voltage regulator or solenoid?

If you have pulled every fuses and the load is still there -disconnect the alternator if it drops to zero-you have a shorted diodes in the alternator.
