2001 Ford Focus 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100000 miles

I can't get the old alternator out. Do I have to take the motor out to be able to replace the alternator?

Try these procedures below, also disconnect the right motor mount at the right strut tower to allow extra motor movement, then pull the engine forward enough to allow room to remove the alternator from the top.
