Brake warning light

I have a 97 Ford f350 7.3L Diesel with 165,000miles on it. If you pump the brake pedal, half a dozen times the brake light will come on. The brake fluid is ok, I tested the booster and that seems to be ok. Any suggestions on why the light will come on?

THAT SYSTEM HAS A POWR ASSIST CORRECT?
IF SO THEIR MAY BE AN AIR LEAK FOR THE ASSIST.
