Hello,

This relay is in the power distribution center and there could be two relays if you have bi-fuel. Here is a guide to help you test the relay

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-an-electrical-relay-and-wiring-control-circuit

It disconnects easily and it is the pink and black wire that goes to the pump you should have 12 volts while cranking or for 3 seconds after the key is turned on. Also check the inertia switch on the passenger side trim panel.

Here is the full fuse panel and relay location for your 2001 ford pickup save it in your favorites for future reference.

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers, Ken

I am not getting the fuel pump to come on. Wired direct to it and it came on. Turn the key and no fuel in the bowl. Can not find anyone that can come up with the Fuel Pump relay and its location. It is not in the fuse panel, not behind the radio does not show up any where.

Hello and thanks for the donation!

Your vehicle's fuel pump relay is integral to the central junction box (CJB) an is NOT serviceable. If wiring, fuse and fuel pump have been tested OK then replacement of the CJB is suggested. A very poor design by Ford on this one if I do say so myself.

I would say so, the CJB is not the PCM I take it. It looks to me that that is the total fuse/relay box under the dash.

That's correct. The CJB is NOT the powertrain control module (PCM). The CJB is the central junction box that is located behind the lower left side of the dash. So instead of jerking out one little relay and replacing it. You have to replace the ENTIRE box.

If you take the cover off the fuse box and look at the relays there are 9 spots for them it is the one fartest on the left in the middle

The previous answer is completely incorrect.

The relay is located behind the radio on the one.

Your vehicle's fuel pump cut-off relay is in the bi-fuel power relay module ( in left rear of engine compartment ).

The fuel pump relay itself is located in the center of the dash.

The fuel pump speed relay is in the battery junction box.

Can anyone please tell me exactly where the R303 is on 1990 F250? Fuse box is under dash, driver's side and only fuses appear to be there. No obvious looking black box under hood, as I have seen on some vehicles. Please help, facing possibility of tow charges if I can't resolve the issue! Thanks!

Read the guide below on testing relays, it will help

Attached below you will find the relay locations (You need C133) and wiring diagrams for both single and dual tank

Thanks for the reply, fixitmr. Yes, the fuel pump is not working. It had been recently replaced, along with new tank, and was working. But now does not 'hum' on the turn of the key. So, hoping the relay couldn't handle the new pump, rather than the pump being defective, though of course these days that can not be ruled out, unfortunately. But figured the 12 dollar relay should be a first step, rather than dropping the darn tank again.
