Electrical problem
2003 Ford F150 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

when I try to start the truck it will just click. Lights and other accessories seem to be working fine. Can start truck by jumping the solenoid. Fuse F21, 15 amp, blows every time I try to start the truck. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? Thank you.

INSURE SOLINOID IS WIRED CORRECTLY. Disconnect POS on BATT (leave NEG alone). Replace blown fuse. Remove small wire ("S") terminal from solinoid.W/ VOLTMETER set to OHMs (continuity) touch leads together meter will respond (continuity). Now touch "S" wire (not solinoid terminal) to red lead. Black lead to NEG BATT. This should NOT register on meter. If it does register you have a short (to GRD) somewhere on this wire. BEST I CAN HELP YOU WITH IT. Sorry. Love, Turddog
