Heater problem
2000 Ford F150 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I think the heater core on my f-150 is going bad -coolant smell in cab and a " fog". The truck doesn't seem to overheat or leak coolant anywhere else. Is it still safe to run it without the heater for a few more days until I can get it to the repair garage? I don't want to ruin the truck or poison myself.

Make sure you have coolant in the system and as long as it doesn't over heat it will be OK
also you may bypass the heater hoses so it will cut off the coolant from going to the heater core
