I have a 2000 F-150 4.6L, I had the thermostat serviced since it wasn't opening and as I drove the truck back to my house (approx. 10 miles) is started to sputter during deceleration and run really rough under acceleration. I pulled into a gas station to look at it and it died completely. I'm completely baffled.

Was it raining or very cold when this happened?

My truck was fine last night when I shut it off and this morning when I started it up it shook like it was missing a plug. A lot of forums say it might be coils or a bad cowl design that allows water to fill a plug socket and wet a coil wire in the rear passenger side.

I haven't resolved mine yet because it's raining like cats and dogs.
