The original battery in this truck lasted 9 years. I replaced it with the Hi-dollar Sears SUV/Truck DieHard battery 2 years ago. Dome light was left on and drained the battery. Brought it inside where it is warm, put it on my 12 amp charger and charged it until the charger indicated that it was fully charged. Put it in the truck and it would engage the starter but not turn the engine. Everything was fine before the dome light drain. Cold, freezing temps and the battery is dead again and it would not take a charge. I also noted that the positive post is turning black at the terminal connection. Cable connections, especially ground, are tight and clean. I am taking the battery back to Sears to replace it but I am still concerned. Any ideas of other places to look? Thank you, MLH.
