1996 Ford F-150 DUEL FUEL TANKS

I DISCONNECTED MY FRONT FUEL TANK AND NOW THE TRUCK SEEMS TO KNOCK IF SITTING FOR SHORT PEROID OF TIME WARMED UP IF I TURN IT OFF IT WILL NOT START UNTIL COOLED DOWN. DOES IT HAVE TO DO WITH THE ONE TANK BEING DISCONNECTED?

What you mean by disconnected
did you disconnect the fuel lines
did you disconnect the wiring
did you remove the tank
was any rewiring done
was any fuel rerouted
if so recheck the work you done
if not do a fuel pressure test
