1995 Ford F150 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 207000 miles
Recently went on a trip and after entering back onto Interstate from acceleration lane up a mild incline, truck seemed to vibrate under minimal acceleration and gradually got up to speed and was ok. I have noticed transmission shifting into third gear and then almost instantaneously into overdrive at around 45mph. Since most transmissions now are computer controlled, didn't know if this was an engine problem or a transmission problem. Truck is second hand with 207000 miles. Also having problem with helper spring on rear leaf spring (assuming add a leaf kit installed previously) turning sideways out of alignment with rear leaf springs and I have to hammer back in place every 200-300 miles or so. Any help Please?
