Engine Cooling problem
1995 Ford F150 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 144000 miles

I have a 95 F150 and it heats up fine and does not overheat. The coolant seems to go down a bit. The previous owner said he just added some as needed in the past. If the thermostat was bad would this be the cause?

Coolant will not go out if the thermostat is bad. If the gasket on the thermostat housing goes bad then yes it could cause the coolant to leak. You should be checking the coolant temp sensor guage.
