I am having problems with my ford. It will start up great in the morning smells a little rich, after it is warm up, it is a lot harder to start. And it will hesitate when I give it some gas. When I shift up into overdrive it jerks. Has new plugs, wires, cap, air filter. Can you give some idea where to start.

thanks

Ok I would check the tps (throttle position sensor). Get a digital multi meter and a paper clip. Back probe the green wire to the tps and then with key on engine off hook up your meter and you should have.8 to 1 volt now slowly lift the throttle and it should slowly and steadly increase to 4.5 to 5 volts. If there is any glitches or drops in voltage as you do this replace the TPS.
