Engine Performance problem
1990 Ford F150 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 189000 miles
i have a truck with duel tanks when I am swithed to the rear tank it pumps into the front tank and overflows from the fill tube, I read there is a bad check valve, is this valve located in the line or do I have to replace the fuel pump in the front tank?
The valve's in the pump but Fords " fix" was to " add" one in the line(I think). I've not done one myself but it's common - ask around 'till you find someone familiar with this - this forum should be a good place. There was a TSB at one time, I think. An older parts guy at the Ford dealer may help.
