Front left wheel problems

Recently I have noticed a problem with my 1997 ford explorer XLT. When driving over small bumps (i.E. Speed bump), a loud clanking noise comes from my front left wheel-well. My SUV will sway or rock in a side to side (like a teeter-totter) motion when hitting small divots or entering a freeway. I have no clue if this is my ball joint, A-frame, shock or struts. Could you please advise me what this could be and what needs to be replaced and fixed?

Thanks
J.G
