I have a 1996 Ford Explorer with V8 engine and auto. Trans. Power brakes, stering, A/C.
Problem: when engine speed reaches 2100 a vibration is felt and heard. The vibration ceases when the trans. Shifts, and the RPM falls below 2100.
Only to reoccur when the engine speeds reaches 2100 again. The vibration ceases above or below 2100.
My local mechanic advises I have a trans. Problem, but a national trans. Shop advises it is NOT a trans problem. And said the problem seems to be in the front of the motor, (driven by the belt). The local mechanic again said he believes it is a trans. Problem.
The second trip to the national trans. Shop, I was advised that I DO NOT have a trans. Problem.
have the same problem?
