Turbine shaft speed sensor location

Had trouble code p0715 for the Turbine shaft speed sensor. My question is, where is it located on the vehicle? Moreover there is 3 speed sensors on this transmission. Which one is the turbine shaft speed sensor?

Good afternoon,

I attached pictures and the procedures for changing the sensor. It is on the left side of the transmission up by the torque converter.

Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) Sensor

Removal
All vehicles
1. Raise and support the vehicle.

4x4 vehicles
2. Disconnect the front driveshaft from the transfer case.

3. Disconnect the front driveshaft from the front differential.

4. Remove the front driveshaft from the vehicle.

All vehicles
5. Remove the shift cable and bracket.

6. Disconnect turbine shaft speed (TSS) sensor electrical connector.

7. Remove TSS sensor.
1 Remove the TSS sensor screw.
2 Remove the TSS sensor from the transmission.
- Inspect the TSS sensor O-ring for damage. If damaged, install a new O-ring.

Amazing. So out of the 3 speed sensors is this the one closest to the front of the vehicle?

I received a code P0715 and a guy at Autozone said I needed to replace my Turbine Speed Sensor. I ordered one, but I can not figure out where this thing is located so I can change it out.

Is this located at the front of the truck? I found one on the rear differential but it doesn't look like the part I got. I didn't see anything at the front?

Ok I replaced the speed sensor, and everything worked fine for about 5 minutes (got up to around 60 on the test drive) and then at the stop light the transmission went completely out. I restart and then I can go about 20 before it goes out again. What else could be wrong?

Can you tell me where is the ISS is located on my transmission and how can I get to it? (ISS) Input speed sensor. Or (TSS) turbine speed sensor.

Transmission control module may be bad, but best thing to do would have transmission put on diagnostic scanner to pinpoint the culprit.

See diagram picture. The sensor may not be the problem however. It may be something like a clutch pack or seal.

How sure are you that is the input shaft sensor? I am looking at a diagram and the spot you showing is called something else. Can you send a diagram with labels?
