2002 Ford Explorer problems with 4 wheel drive

Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2002 Ford Explorer V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 105000 miles

If I try to put the vehicle into 4 wheel low, the light on the button blinks for about 10 seconds and then goes out, but the vehicle does not go into 4 wheel low.

When I put it in 2 wheel high, it does go in but when driving the vehicle it sounds like something is rubbing, especially when I am turning.

We ground tow the vehicle behind out motorhome quite often. Our next trip will be in about a week, roughly 2200 miles to travel, and I need to find my problem of at least find some comfort level that I won't have a problem towing the vehicle. It seems to run find in 4 wheel auto, since it basically stays in 2 wheel drive.

Do you
have the same problem?
