Engine Performance problem
2000 Ford Explorer V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic 117k miles

I have a 2000 ford explorer 5.0 v8 with 118K. I am currently getting about 6 mpg in the city and about 10 on the highway. It should be getting double that! It idles really strange. For example it will make a wierd sound like it is revving up and down fairly slightly. I just did the fuel filter, IAC valve, plugs and wires. What could this be?

Hey there
There is no check engine light on, and I had them run diagnostics at the dealer and it came back fine. As far as power goes, it lags a little bit when I try and go from say 40 to 70 on the highway when I step on it, the rpms will go up but it takes a second to respond.
