1999 Ford Explorer engines misses

Car ran great one day started missing was told bad gas ran cleaner through a few tanks it stopped than a few hundred miles started again was told bad coil replaced than bad plugs replaced bad wires replaced sticky iac valve replaced now runs great in park or neautral misses bad in gear on kidney dialysis and social havent the money to keep trying different things but need car as drive 50 miles one way for dialysis. Please help

Misfiring can be cause by the following:

1. Defective spark plug
2. Inadequate spark/coil, defective spark plug wire.
3. Lack of compression
4. False air leakage.
5. Faulty fuel injectors.
6. Insufficient fuel pressure.
7. Contaminated fuel.
8. EGR valve that is leaking.
9. Oxygen sensors.
10. Throttle position sensor.
11. Mass Air Flow sensor
