Electrical problem
1996 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 43000 miles

I have a boat/trailer with a standard 4-wire (plus ground wire) plugin and I have its counterpart that I need to install on my Explorer. The car includes a 6-wire adapter and a 4-wire adapter (for electric brake controller), and a single-page of instructions for installaton. The instruction manual doesn't seem to apply to my model, seeing as how none of the interfaces illustrated are present on the vehicle. I removed the access panel from above the left rear tire wheel (in the inside, where the jack is stored), but was unable to locate any plugin or some kind of wiring harness that I might be able to splice into.

So my question is: how do I install the wiring harness on my car?
